The Career Matching Program at Reinvent Initiative (RI) is designed to bridge the income and employment gap that many individuals face after release from incarceration. By connecting clients with job opportunities before their release, we help them set them up for immediate success and stability as they reenter civilian life.
How RI Supports Employers
RI partners with employers who are committed to providing second-chance employment opportunities. Through this program, we:
Present clients with detailed information about partnering employers and available job opportunities.
Offer employers the chance to create a personalized video introduction, including an “About Us” and “What We’re Looking For” section to share with potential candidates.
Act as a liaison to facilitate the interview process without requiring in-person participation from employers.
Conduct virtual interviews using employer-approved questions, ensuring consistency and fairness in the hiring process.
Assist with the exchange of documentation, onboarding support, and ongoing communication between clients and employers.

During the second phase of our two-tier reintegration program, clients will be introduced to RI’s curated list of partnering employers and job openings. Clients will have access to video presentations and job descriptions, allowing them to make informed choices about where to apply.
Once a client selects a position of interest:
RI facilitates the initial virtual interview process between the client and the employer.
If the employer wishes to move forward, they may extend a conditional offer letter tied to the client’s scheduled release date.
RI will then support both the client and employer through the next steps—including paperwork, training coordination, and resolving any barriers to employment (e.g., transportation, required documentation, etc.).
